EA Group Holding completes first private equity cycle: portfolio value grows fivefold

Over eight years, an $8M capital investment has grown to a current estimated portfolio value of $41M. The strongest assets remain in the portfolio for the next stage of growth.

EA Group Holding has announced the completion of its first private equity cycle. Since 2018, the portfolio value has grown fivefold — from $8M in invested capital to $41M.

For the next stage, EA Group Holding has chosen a continuation model: rather than selling the strongest assets at the end of the cycle, they remain under the holding's ownership and continue to develop under dedicated management.

The continuation portfolio comprises three companies across fintech, agribusiness and the creative industry:

• Tarlan Payments — a payment organisation operating in Kazakhstan and Europe. Gross margin grew by 5.2 percentage points in 2025.

• Daneker Farm — agricultural production and processing. Revenue grew by 12.3% in 2025.

• Qara Studios — a creative studio specialising in video and film production and large-scale events. Revenue from OYU Fest grew by 39% in 2025.

"For eight years we invested our own capital and were accountable only to ourselves. A fivefold return is a number you can take to external investors. The continuation model means we don't have to sell companies halfway through their growth — when the best is still ahead," said Yerik Aubakirov, CEO of EA Group Holding. .

The continuation portfolio will be managed by Didara Massalimova — an entrepreneur and business leader with over 15 years of experience launching and transforming companies.

"The portfolio brings together companies with proven business models and meaningful growth potential. Our goal is to systematically increase their value through active management, financial discipline and the execution of value creation plans," said Didara Massalimova.

EA Group Holding is a Kazakhstan-based investment holding company founded in 2016. The holding operates across Kazakhstan and Europe in three directions: private equity, venture capital, and equity and derivatives investments. Total assets under management amount to $210M.
